Melton is an urban area within metropolitan Melbourne, Australia located 35 km west from the city centre’s business district. Established as a satellite suburb in 1974, Melton consists of seven suburban areas and is considered part of the Greater Melbourne metropolitan area. Melton’s public transport consists of trains, trams and buses which make traveling around the city of Melton and its nearby areas such as Werribee, Broadmeadows, and Melbourne City easy and accessible. Each year in November Melton celebrates the Djerriwarrh Festival, which includes a street parade down High Street, two-day market stalls and the Lions Club Carnival, held in the Police Paddock on High Street.HSTAEA will make available a mini-bus to transport incoming students from Melbourne City to Melton.
